Alamogordo Department of Public Safety detectives arrested another man, Jonathan Najar, Monday morning in connection with Wednesday's shooting of a 27-year-old man, an ADPS spokesman said.
ADPS and S.W.A.T. officers already had arrested two people Sunday afternoon after a brief standoff at a Hawaii Avenue and Cauthen Lane home, the spokesman said.
Sunday's standoff ended around 5:15 p.m.
No one was injured.
Detective Troy Thompson said Najar is also charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon (great bodily harm), kidnapping, armed robbery, conspiracy and tampering with evidence.
Najar is jailed at the Otero County Detention Center on a $500,000 cash-only bond pending his appearance in court.
"Najar was arrested at the Adult Probation and Parole Office in Alamogordo," Thompson said. "Najar went to APPO to check in with his probation officer. Najar's probation officer had called him Monday morning to check in. When Najar arrived at APPO, they called us because they knew we had a warrant for Najar's arrest."
Detective Sgt. Roger Schoolcraft said Sunday that El Rico Cummings and Jennifer Silva, both of Alamogordo, were arrested in connection with Wednesday's shooting of the 27-year-old Alamogordo man in the 400 block of South Canyon Road.
Schoolcraft said Cummings and Silva are both charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon (great bodily harm), kidnapping, armed robbery, conspiracy and tampering with evidence.
