ALAMOGORDO, N.M. (AP) - State police say they have arrested an expecting Alamogordo mother with possession of cocaine.

Department of Public Safety officers said they suspected 30-year-old Rebecca Fields was dealing out of a local hotel room. Fields is also charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and child abuse.

Hunter said Fields had her 6-year-old child staying with her in the hotel room. Fields is also eight months pregnant. Authorities said Fields' child was handed over to a relative.
